Folsom Theatre Co. is dedicated to inspiring youth to dream, explore, think, and connect through imaginative storytelling onstage, in the classroom, and in the community; all while developing character and confidence by training in a professional theatre environment that stimulates artistic excellence and personal growth.
Individual contributors help sustain FTC’s broad spectrum of artistic and education programs.
We have huge goals to achieve great things while investing in our youth and community.
We want to have the opportunities to invest in new play development and bring to the stage compelling new work by emerging and established playwrights. But most importantly, we want to enrich the lives of many thousands of young people. Our theatre programs will be designed to bring out the best in every person we serve, whether in the audience, on the stage, or in the classroom, and our contributers provide the resources necessary for us to continue growing our education programs and producing entertaining plays for young audiences.
We believe it is important for everyone to have the opportunity to experience the arts. Support from individual donors also helps us make our programs accessible to those with limited access to the arts, whether for economic, physical or geographic reasons. We are committed to serving everyone who desires to participate in our programming regardless of their ability to pay, and contributions to our annual fund from individual donors help support this valued program.

General Operating and Program support from foundations, government agencies and corporations play an important role in our ability to sustain the quality of our programming. These gifts ensure that we are able to maintain program and artistic quality, and adjust our endeavors in an effort to best meet the needs of the community. Most importantly, on-going annual support is essential to helping us maintain affordable ticket, tuition and outreach fees while meeting the pressure of increasing costs. It is through the support of our valued funding partners, that we are able to foster an appreciation of the arts, remain accessible to diverse populations, and realize the intrinsic value the arts have to offer to a child’s well-being and development.

Folsom Theatre Co. is a 501(c)4 and relies on the donations from our community so we can provide quality theatre education within our community. According to “The Value and Quality of Arts Education: A Statement of Principles”, students who participate in the arts do better in school, stay in school longer, and win more academic awards.
